Guide for Grading Students' Magazine Project

Computer Graphics Rubric Project: Magazine
Objectives: Students will understand the properties of a cover of a magazine. Students will gain proficiency in working with Photoshop and Illustrator. Emphasis will be placed upon composition, layout techniques, and craftspersonship.

Reflect on your finished work to see if you understood and demonstrated the evaluation standards
EVALUATION STANDARDS:
Much Improvement and Effort Needed 0 - 3 pts.
Needs some Improvement 4-5 pts
Proficient Level of Achievement 6-8 pts
Advanced / Extends past Expectations 10 pts

I. Basic Design: ( 15)
Overall impact of magazine layout (quality of materials,creativity) 5pts
Parts of the Magazine 5pts
Balanced use of images and text in articles 5pts

II.Content :( 25)
Maps,charts and tables were used to support data (5)
Provides analysis of current issues based n varied sources ( 10)
Articles are unique, well-thought of and relevant (10)

IV. Core Values: (Work Ethic, Respect, Responsibility) (10pts)
Completed project on time and included your logo in the bottom right corner of the magazine.
Used tools / materials properly, and used time wisely.Demonstrated quality craftspersonship
